I just saw “The Forge,” a Christian film centered on a young man struggling with anger and bitterness toward his father while trying to improve himself, but without fully understanding how. He finds guidance from a group called the Forge, especially through a man who gives him employment, played by Cameron Arnett. His performance as this spiritual figure is outstanding; I thought it displayed an impressive level of compassion, feeling, and skill that I haven’t encountered in other movies of its kind. Karen Abercrombie, back as Miss Clara from “War Room,” brings both humor and gravity to the film. Priscilla Shirer, also returning from "War Room," further cemented her place among my favorite actresses with a compelling presence that draws viewers toward reverence and faith. I had some reservations at first about Aspen Kennedy’s depiction of Isaiah, but he ultimately demonstrated himself to be an impressive actor who deserves recognition for his development from a troubled young man into someone more righteous. The emotional journey he takes the audience on is captivating, bringing forth tears, laughter, and applause as we see his progress and challenges. The other actors in "The Forge" also deserve acknowledgment for their excellent performances that add to the film's emotional richness and ability to hold your attention. Even though it runs two hours, the story moves along smoothly, resulting in an enthusiastic response from viewers at the conclusion because of its powerful effect. I strongly suggest seeing “The Forge” on the big screen as soon as possible. This thought-provoking experience will stay with you even after the film ends, providing a moving and uplifting narrative that is truly worthwhile to see.
