Cronenberg's The Fly manages to be both repulsive, mournful, and unexpectedly lovely as it explores the genre of physical transformation. A science fiction love story with an intriguing premise gradually evolves into a deeply unsettling and memorable experience, mirroring the changes happening to its central character. It’s easily one of my top films!
