I went into seeing the fifth film in the FD series with some reservations, given how let down I was by the fourth one. However, what I experienced afterward really took me by surprise. This movie proved to be considerably better than the previous two films—and that’s putting it mildly. It felt darker and incorporated aspects reminiscent of the first film, something I greatly appreciated. I'm hesitant to reveal specifics, but I have to mention that the final scene will likely leave you stunned; I certainly was, wondering how they managed to come up with such a twist. Another thing I enjoyed was the sense that it had been carefully considered and developed, unlike the fourth film, which felt like a misfire and shouldn't have happened in my view. The character deaths weren’t hurried, contrasting with what we saw in the previous installment, and there was more time dedicated to introducing us to the characters. I will say that one death scene, apart from the ending, genuinely caught me off guard. I suggest you check it out; while it shares a similar premise with the first four movies, this one operates on an entirely different level.
