This is a surprisingly imaginative and deeply thoughtful take on the familiar coming-of-age story. The central character, who is eighteen, experiences a difficult truth about existence: occasionally we bring challenges upon ourselves, but at other times, seemingly unbelievable opportunities arise. No matter the cause, it appears that everyone ultimately ends up precisely where they need to be. While perhaps not as polished or impressive as Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter…Spring, the performances are quite good.
