This follow-up delivered precisely what I was hoping for; Denzel Washington is fantastic again, and it’s good to see that the rest of the movie is better than the first one. I really liked this film. It didn’t blow me away, it's true, but it has a certain quality that I felt was lacking in the 2014 version. The other actors and their characters are more interesting this time around; Pedro Pascal and Ashton Sanders were particularly good to see. The rhythm of the story feels better too, as does the overall tone of the movie. The plot development is well done, and the way they use weather effects is superb—it's easy for that kind of thing to be overdone, like in 2020’s *Force of Nature*, but here it really enhances the mood. It’s hard to believe *The Equalizer 3* is coming out less than a year from now; I’m definitely looking forward to it!
