It’s disappointing to see Antonio Banderas appearing in something of this sort, as Jason Statham and Bruce Willis have occasionally done, because it feels like a step down for him. This film, "Cuda," casts him as someone hired by the gangster “Estelle” (Kate Bosworth) to train a combatant named "Stray" (Mojean Aria) so he can recover money from a group of people involved in online adult entertainment. The story then blends a low-budget action movie with romantic elements, as both men become interested in young women—for distinct reasons—who end up significantly affecting everyone’s lives. The script is excessively convoluted, and the conclusion, like most of the film, is quite laughable, giving the impression that it's composed of discarded scenes from various other films that share its high price tag but low quality. Thankfully, it runs for only ninety minutes, though I can’t fathom why it’s playing in cinemas at all. It isn’t worth spending money to view.
