It’s hard to believe I waited so long to experience this, especially considering how much I enjoyed its sequels. When it originally came out while I was a teenager, I didn't feel any desire to see it then; action movies just weren't my thing at that point in my life. Now, as the parent of a teenage child myself, it’s fascinating to finally understand why this is now regarded as a classic. It absolutely lives up to its reputation as one of the best action films ever created, particularly those from the 1980s. The late Alan Rickman delivered an outstanding performance as what I consider to be among cinema's greatest villains. This film—along with 'Pulp Fiction'—represents Bruce Willis’s most significant contribution to film. I really hope that if Willis were ever to pass away or choose not to continue the series, they would just end it. He was perfectly suited for this role; another actor simply couldn’t capture what makes the character so memorable.
