It’s honestly quite bad, a promising concept that just doesn't work well. The narrative feels stretched out and takes too long to develop. The music often makes it difficult to hear what the characters are saying. The performances are largely uninspired; there’s little sense that the actors are invested in portraying genuine fear of a killer doll elf. To add insult to injury, the image of the elf used on the DVD case isn't even the same one featured in the movie – that’s deceptive marketing! I also found the plot somewhat confusing and not clearly explained. There were a few minor positives, though. The animation for the elf was acceptable, and the preview seemed promising.
