The film feels incomplete; all the necessary elements are present, yet they don’t quite coalesce. It could really use a boost in energy. My primary concerns revolve around these points: First, there’s an absence of suspense. While the movie manages to evoke feeling, it fails to build tension. Second, Stanley Tucci wasn't effective as the antagonist. I think someone like Woody Harrelson or Giancarlo Esposito might have been a better choice for the part, possibly without the PG-13 restrictions. Third, regarding Giancarlo Esposito’s character—did he simply sit down? That’s all that happened? Fourth, the line about an “eye blink.” I believe how that line was delivered established the movie's lack of tension. "EYE BLINK!" It was ridiculous! Seriously though. It isn't terrible, but it also doesn't reach greatness, and it's a letdown considering it’s from The Russo Brothers.
