It’s enjoyable enough to consider watching again, and I would suggest it. I decided to watch this because of Dr. Jeong, but I was a little let down since he didn’t have much to do. Still, I appreciated Taylor Lautner and Bella Thorne playing unpleasant characters really well. Mae Whitman is a talented performer; she isn't typically considered conventionally attractive, and I wouldn’t have thought of her as a “DUFF,” but I suppose it’s all about perspective. The film does focus quite a bit on making jokes about how she looks. However, there's a lot of humor derived from her awkwardness, which isn't the same thing as being unattractive. The movie has a similar vibe to films like "Juno," "Superbad," and "Easy A"—all good movies about high school social situations. Even though parts of it feel like they could have been short comedy bits on “how to win by deception,” I wasn't disappointed.
