This is a truly impressive film. I’d read about it, but seeing it really forces you to stop and understand how unbelievably shocking it is that a government could simply order the killing of someone, even when those actions don't occur within their own borders. It’s also disturbing to consider how Saudi Arabia was able to target one of the wealthiest people on Earth using software developed by a company based in what’s considered a leading democracy, Israel. I thought it was smart that Fogel ensured his name appeared clearly in the credits while avoiding appearing on camera himself—it's not always obvious if he’s even narrating some of the interviews or discussions. Sometimes documentary filmmakers can become overly focused on themselves and engage in annoying self-promotion, but that doesn’t happen here.
