It’s clear Spielberg hasn't lost his touch. Blunt gives what feels like her finest performance as someone whose experiences lead to a descent into a paranoid pursuit connected to a larger scheme, blending elements reminiscent of Minority Report and Close Encounters. Williams’ music is fantastic, the camera work is beautiful to watch, and I was truly invested in what happened later on. The film does stumble somewhat due to an overlong screenplay and a conclusion that feels overly sentimental. Nevertheless, it ranks among his strongest films in quite some time.
