It’s possible that with more financial backing, resulting in a stronger cast and script, this could have been a more engaging supernatural suspense film. Unfortunately, what we have instead is the result of limited resources, exemplified by a weak performance from Robert Alda as "Rick," whose character experiences inexplicable dreams about a woman. Through pure chance, he encounters her, and subsequently becomes drawn into a series of events involving a peculiar doll and gatherings reminiscent of Masonic rituals. Linda Christian portrays “Bianca,” who captivates him, while his intended, "Donna" (Ariadne Welter), faces potential harm. The question is whether he can regain control before crossing paths with "Francis" (Neil Hamilton) and the adherents of "Gamba." Even when judged against low-budget productions, this film feels formulaic and uninspired. Confined, stationary sets restrict any chance to build tension, and the resolution feels more appropriate for a Laurel and Hardy short than a thriller. I would suggest avoiding it altogether.
