The film follows "Morán" (Daniel Elías), who calculates his bank job will only bring in $325k over 25 years, so he decides to steal twice that amount and enlist his unsuspecting coworker "Román" (Esteban Bigliardi) to stash the money while he serves time. The plan is for them both to retire comfortably afterward. Surprisingly, the theft proceeds without much difficulty. Before turning himself in, the thief takes a road trip and then confesses to the police, expecting the sentence he’s prepared for. His prison experience starts rough but eventually becomes quite ordinary. However, things are more complicated for his friend outside. Despite having a solid alibi, suspicions arise at the bank that he might be involved, making his life increasingly unpleasant. He drives to a secluded town to conceal the money under a rock and there encounters "Norma" (Margarita Molfino). With difficulties in his home life—his marriage, children, and anxiety all contributing—it’s easy to anticipate what unfolds next. There's then a pause – a slow-moving segment before part two explains what transpired during “Morán’s” trip. It felt like there might be something significant in the names being anagrams of each other; we even have a "Morna." Overall, though, this is an unremarkable drama that drags on far too long, and when it finally moves forward, seems unwilling to end with any real significance. From the start, it criticizes monotonous routines, seemingly offering both men a chance at (eventual) liberation, but the story’s core feels thin as we drift through an observational narrative that never quite ignites.
