This movie is deeply disturbing, approaching a fascist viewpoint, and manages to be both tedious and damaging. The editing feels amateurish, like something you’d see in an ad trying to stop piracy, and the political messaging is truly appalling. It concludes with a speech arguing that the nation requires, but doesn't merit, harsh policing and brutality. While Nolan may claim there was no hidden meaning, that only compounds the problem; his inclusion of these scenes seems solely intended to create a darker, more "edgy" feel. However, people in nations experiencing oppression live daily with violence from authorities and dictatorships, and Nolan’s apparent unawareness leads him to believe using this in a superhero movie is justifiable self-indulgence. He's essentially profiting off of conflict and exploiting suffering, which is frankly revolting.
