It’s a reasonably enjoyable movie experience with recognizable actors portraying a story that takes considerable liberties with historical events surrounding the adoption of our electrical current standard. The depiction feels somewhat stretched and fabricated, and Tesla's role seems minimized—perhaps Nicholas Hoult wasn't available for an extensive commitment. This omission impacts the believability of what’s presented. Tom Holland and Matthew Macfadyen provide solid performances in smaller roles, but Benedict Cumberbatch doesn’t entirely succeed. While Hollywood often alters historical facts, this film does so to a remarkable degree. It’s visually appealing enough to warrant viewing, though its merits are otherwise limited.
