The film presents Arbuckle as the cook and Keaton as the waiter. The setting is a modest café with a restricted selection of food, yet some patrons behave as if they're dining at a high-end establishment. It’s hard to fault the two employees, who spend considerable time creating chaos and disorder while working. With broken dishes scattered across the floor, a troublemaker appears with intentions toward the woman, prompting the pair to join forces with the head waiter and their dog, Luke, to drive him off. The short film has a lively feel thanks to Arbuckle’s very believable performance; he displays an unexpected grace as he moves through the kitchen, cracking eggs and throwing knives. Keaton also seems to be enjoying himself while they come up with what looks like the first-ever spaghetti washing machine. However, it's probably the dog who really captures attention in the narrative! Described as "a restful afternoon"? Perhaps not for the goats pulling the carriage—and naturally, a roller coaster and a woman needing rescue had to be included too.
