The movie felt as though it arrived far too late for today's audiences, easily twenty years behind current trends. I don’t believe the directing was particularly strong, and the casting choices seemed off as well. While there were several recognizable actresses in prominent roles—Maggie Grace and Alexandra Daddario even appeared in smaller parts—I struggled to identify any compelling male performers besides Tom Wilkinson. Honestly, the main actor didn't seem like a good fit for the part. I also felt that Teresa Palmer’s performance was excessive at times. If you're familiar with romantic movies, you’ll likely recognize many of the predictable plot elements. The story originated from a book by the author of 'The Notebook,' and while it shares his characteristic romance style, it differs noticeably from his other works adapted for film. I wasn't intending to be overly critical, but I honestly couldn't find much positive to say. Perhaps the scenery or soundtrack were enjoyable. It was amusing that I initially misinterpreted the poster and thought the movie had a lesbian storyline—a funny misunderstanding once I realized my mistake. However, some of the dialogue fell short, lacking the intended romantic quality when spoken, and there were also some unnecessary scenes, like one involving a dog retrieving an item and what happened afterward. These elements pushed it closer to a supernatural story than a realistic romance. It’s clearly aimed at a specific niche audience; I'm confident that someone will appreciate it eventually—maybe today, tomorrow, or years from now. But there will inevitably be people like myself who find fault with it, so disregard their opinions if you are curious and want to form your own judgment. 6/10
