An ordinary afternoon finds Mr. Johnson occupied with his French horn when a persistent knocking at the door brings an unexpected surprise—a small cat presented as if it were a holiday treat. At first charmed, he attempts interaction but, finding no reciprocation, resolves to get rid of the animal. However, the cat proves stubbornly resistant, and through a cleverly written song, we witness his increasingly frantic attempts to be free of it, while the feline works to take over what’s quickly becoming a dilapidated home. The story bears resemblance to "Tom & Jerry," and ultimately I felt some sympathy for the elderly gentleman as “the cat came back,” repeatedly. The animation is energetic and full of action, featuring various creatures involved, and his mounting frustration leads to rather permanent repercussions. It's genuinely enjoyable.
