It doesn’t really stand out much from other standard horror movies, aside from how the story unfolds internally. That alone makes seeing it worthwhile. The filmmakers handled that aspect well, but because of the familiar elements, you quickly figure out what's going to happen next, even with their attempts to change things up. It’s disappointing to be able to anticipate the whole movie. On the positive side, people who aren’t big fans of horror might find it enjoyable. However, those who watch horror films frequently will likely feel like it wasn’t a good use of their time. I thought it was better than some recent, high-profile releases in the same category. It feels like a combination of many different movies. It had similarities to 'It Follows,' but simpler. The characters and plot are straightforward to understand. From the start, it felt very deliberate though. There’s a good cast and competent filmmaking involved. Some viewers might find it frightening, but I found the narration a bit bland and well-paced. Unfortunately, it relies on all of the typical horror movie tropes. One thing that appears frequently—not just in this film, but in many horror movies—is having characters interview survivors from previous events. If you’re okay with those kinds of common elements, then it's an acceptable film. _6/10_
