What’s being presented as an action film is really just a terrible mess, not exactly brimming with intelligence. The plot inexplicably includes his profession—he's a bricklayer—and he carries his tools on CIA assignments, even using one to uncover something hidden in a wall; sorry for the detail. Apparently, he's also very fond of jazz music, which is meant to suggest sophistication despite his being portrayed as unintelligent. It’s far more ridiculous than it needs to be. The action sequences are chaotic and shaky, the writing leans heavily on tired tropes regarding women, and a huge portion of the runtime consists of back-and-forth conversations filmed in a generic room. The production quality is comparable to that of a low-budget television series like *Seal Team*.
