Cartoon Saloon has done it again with another wonderful movie! Having really liked the Irish Folklore Trilogy made by this studio, I felt compelled to see their other film so far: *‘The Breadwinner’*. I must say, I find the title itself a bit dull, but fortunately the film is anything but boring. It sticks closely to what you'd probably anticipate, or at least what I was expecting, considering the story it tells, and yet it still manages to add depth and a good deal of emotion. Saara Chaudry does a great job as the voice lead, and the other young Canadian actors are also very good. The animation is beautiful, which is typical for this Irish company. I’m looking forward to seeing Cartoon Saloon's next project, with *‘My Father's Dragon’* scheduled to be released sometime this year. They’ve now made four films, and they haven’t missed the mark once. This film from 2017 is really good – I give it an 8/10, although it was close to being a 9/10 for me.
