This is another installment titled 'The Boy'. The previous movie was a thriller-drama, while this one leans into horror and mystery elements. It evokes the feeling of an older horror film, largely due to its English setting and the house used for filming. Greta, a young American woman, accepts a nanny position in England as a way to distance herself from problems in her relationship. She soon learns that the child she’s caring for is actually a doll, and then begins noticing odd occurrences that lead her toward uncovering what's really going on. The film reveals a dark secret, and that's essentially the story. It features a small number of actors. Maintaining suspense was crucial to how well the narrative unfolded. I went in hoping for a major surprise at the end, but it turned out to be acceptable, with the movie as a whole being just slightly better than average. The atmosphere was unsettling, though that feeling diminished as the pacing slowed down through the second and final acts. Everything up until the twist worked well, but afterward, the resolution felt somewhat underwhelming. It wasn't necessarily a bad ending, but when weighed against what came before—particularly the anticipation it built—the conclusion seemed rather minor and straightforward. It’s an okay film to see once, but like many horror movies, it didn’t quite reach the point of earning my full recommendation. 6/10
