It’s worth experiencing simply for the sake of having seen it, though that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to be gained from it; it's just strange… incredibly strange! Initially, things unfold in a familiar way, establishing a revenge story, but then it veers into strikingly odd diversions featuring floating heads, mechanical Buddhas, and an abundance of maggots and vomit. Apparently, anything related to magic also includes maggots and vomit. A caution for those—myself included—who enjoy attempting to interpret unusual films or books: don't bother with this one. It’s likely to cause a headache. The best approach while watching is simply to allow it to flow over you.
