Only if you’re a devoted follower of Rachel Bloom's work will this probably land for you. I wanted to like it so badly—the concept is really interesting, and the cast is full of people I generally enjoy watching—but it just didn't quite click. The humor felt very forced at times, and there were moments where I actively groaned out loud. It’s not that the performers are bad; they aren't. But the material itself wasn't strong enough to carry them. There was a certain frantic energy throughout that became exhausting rather than entertaining. I kept waiting for it to find its footing or reveal some deeper layer, but it never really did. It felt like a series of sketches strung together without much connective tissue.
