It's refreshing to see some quality pirate adventures back in theaters, and The Bluff delivers! While the storyline isn’t overly complex or the characters particularly subtle, they work well enough to convey what’s needed, create connections with the audience, generate excitement, and build suspense. The action sequences are well-done, the actors were appropriately chosen, and the visuals are pleasing. It's simply a diverting pirate film. It doesn’t try to be anything more or less than that.
