The buzz surrounding this film was incredible! References to The Dark Knight really set my anticipation high—perhaps excessively so. While I didn’t have the jaw-dropping experience I anticipated, The Batman remains a truly remarkable movie. Visually and in terms of cinematography, it's breathtaking. Director Matt Reeves made some inspired decisions, like portraying Bruce Wayne as more of an isolated, edgy figure and basing the Riddler’s character on the Zodiac killer. The performances were all excellent, with Zoe Kravitz and Paul Dano both delivering particularly memorable portrayals. This Batman leans heavily into psychological elements and mystery rather than the action-comedy approach common in superhero films. My one reservation is that the central puzzle felt somewhat foreseeable; I wasn't taken by surprise by any of its developments. Regardless, it’s a welcome addition to the Batman story, and I am eager to see what comes afterward.
