The central focus revolves around a bag—a mysterious one. It’s an unusual narrative approach. While the mystery itself was decent, the execution fell short. The story possessed all the necessary components, but somewhere along the way, it lost its direction. I wasn't particularly taken with either the writing or the directing. Despite maintaining a good rhythm and keeping you engaged, the key scenes felt visually uninspired, appearing dull or reminiscent of other well-known movies. For the most part, what happens is easily anticipated, aside from the final surprise. The story unfolds over a single night, essentially a contained narrative with plenty of confusion as everyone pursues the truth. A crime boss enlists a professional to protect a bag until he can retrieve it at a remote motel. While waiting for his employer, the protector finds himself in unforeseen circumstances that lead to numerous changes and an unexpected conclusion. With a small number of performers, each had sufficient screen time. The presence of actors like Cusack and De Niro is certainly a positive aspect, but this isn’t really a showcase for their talents. It's become common lately for seasoned actors to appear in projects like this, though it's disappointing when the results aren't successful. This film is acceptable if you aren’t searching for an exceptional thriller. It's worth watching once, but likely to be quickly forgotten. Films of this nature are hard to endorse; however, if you do choose to view it, lower your expectations and consider it purely as entertainment or a way to pass the time—that’s where its value lies. _4.5/10_
