The film proved to be quite entertaining. The humor landed well, the action sequences were executed exceptionally, and the characters possessed an undeniable charm. The writing felt sharp, and the animation—a blend of two-dimensional and three-dimensional techniques—really elevated the experience, contributing to what seemed like a nearly flawless animated feature. However, the storyline was rather unremarkable. While it presented some engaging elements and even conveyed a positive message, I feel that it could have benefited from further elaboration, particularly in terms of creating more suspense. Around the midpoint, it became clear who the antagonist was and how events would ultimately unfold. Attempts were made to incorporate several unexpected turns, but these felt contrived and didn't manage to genuinely surprise me. Even with those shortcomings, this movie stands out as a refreshing change from Dreamworks’ output over the past ten years of more generic animation. I’d rate it an 8 out of 10.
