The initial idea behind the movie held promise, however, I wasn’t fond of how things began. Cannibalism films aren’t really my thing, and I struggle to understand the purpose of making them. It's hard to see them as either enjoyable or artistically valuable; they seem more likely to promote disturbing behaviors. I questioned whether choosing this film had been a poor decision on my part. Aside from the beginning, the movie shifted in tone, ultimately proving to be merely mediocre. The story is set sometime in the future, depicting a desolate area used as a dumping ground for criminals and undocumented people. They’ve established their own society there, essentially split into two groups: one consisting of brutal individuals and another that attempts some level of order, though it's far from perfect. A newcomer who witnesses both sides finds herself needing to choose her place within this world when unfortunate events unfold. It’s another film directed by a woman whose previous effort was considered among the worst ever made, and this one isn’t exactly a triumph either. I did appreciate the actors involved; they all gave solid performances, especially Jim Carrey—I honestly didn't recognize him initially. Keanu Reeves was also present, but Waterhouse stood out as well. I hope she has success moving forward. It’s hard to suggest seeing this film, though ultimately it’s up to you! _5/10_
