It felt good to have a genuinely enjoyable movie after some letdowns from Marvel, especially following things like *Thor* and the truly terrible *Ghost Rider 2*. The visuals are spectacular; the story is fine, and thankfully, the characters don’t act foolish simply because someone decided they needed more “depth.” There's some arguing among them, but it doesn’t really take away from how entertaining it is. I’ve always appreciated Robert Downey Jr.’s version of Tony Stark and his witty remarks. I was curious about how they would incorporate the Hulk given that he’s meant to be so unpredictable, but they managed it. They softened his lack of control somewhat, which I'm okay with. The “puny god” moment was a definite highlight (you really need to see it for yourself; I won’t give it away). I have to admit, though, that Thor himself didn’t quite impress me as much this time around. I just anticipate something more powerful from the God of Thunder. But then again, I'm Scandinavian… Regardless, this was a really good film and I got a lot of enjoyment out of it.
