This film feels like Charlie Sheen embodying Kevin Smith's style. While it shares some similarities with The X-Files, and many of the plot developments are either predictable or simply don't add up, it largely manages to feel fresh. The environmental message is present, though delivered somewhat directly—but not so harshly that I found it bothersome.
