It’s good once more. Similar to its predecessor, *'The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again'* provides a pleasant viewing experience. I don’t believe Theodore (Don Knotts) and Amos (Tim Conway) are exceptionally hilarious, but it is fun watching their antics—particularly when they’re surrounded by notorious criminals. Their performances remain consistent with the 1975 film, however, the subplot involving Jeff (Tim Matheson) and Milly (Elyssa Davalos)'s romance feels contrived and doesn't hold up well. Harry Morgan, portraying a distinct role from his previous appearance, isn’t quite as effective this time around. The antagonists, while not outstanding, are all consistently decent in their roles. *‘The Apple Dumpling Gang'* is the stronger of the two films, but both offer simple entertainment largely due to Knotts and Conway's presence.
