This movie really changed him! It’s an impressive film, easily among the best I've seen this year, and it comes from the director of 'Warrior'. The plot centers on a freelance accountant who takes a job investigating financial irregularities for a corporation. As he gets close to identifying those responsible, a death within the company occurs, seemingly intended to bury the truth. This puts his life in danger, along with anyone connected to him. The film then delves into his past, showing glimpses of his childhood and how he became who he is today. Simultaneously, he must figure out who’s pursuing him before they can get to him—and the story concludes with a surprising turn. Having come from a DC project, Ben Affleck demonstrates here that he's capable of competing with other leading actors. His physical condition was well-suited for the part, likely aided by his time playing Batman. It feels like his own take on something akin to 'John Wick' or 'Jack Reacher'. A sequel seems quite possible. Anna Kendrick has been consistently delivering strong performances lately, especially at the box office, and while her role here isn’t extensive, she could potentially have a larger part in any future installments. The film is nearly flawless as a crime-thriller, particularly due to its well-developed characters—it's an exceptional movie and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for complete entertainment. _9/10_
