The acting is strong across the board in The 355, notably from Jessica Chastain and Lupita Nyong’o. Unfortunately, a predictable story, weak writing, and underwritten characters prevent it from living up to its promise, marking another setback for Simon Kinberg. While the fight scenes feature some creative moves, the editing style—relying on rapid cuts and unsteady camera work—doesn't always enhance them. The plot follows familiar patterns of the genre, and efforts to explore feminist themes don’t quite succeed. For me, a positive aspect is that it was shot in authentic locations, which does contribute to its watchability. Rating: C
