I didn’t dislike *Tex*, but I also couldn’t really get into it. The movie felt contrived and unnatural. The characters failed to resonate with me, and the acting seemed unremarkable. Even the basic idea behind the story wasn't particularly engaging; it just left me feeling indifferent. Matt Dillon is passable as Tex, although his work has clearly gotten better over time—his role in *Wayward Pines* demonstrates that. I don’t recall anything especially memorable from any of the other performers either. Ultimately, it didn't quite reach a satisfactory level.
