"Tara" (Jenna Kanell) and her friend "Dawn" (Catherine Corcoran) find themselves needing a ride home after drinking too much when they spot a clown looking downcast. One of them makes some cutting comments before they head over to a pizza place, hoping to get back on their feet. Naturally, he shows up there. Up until that point, everything is fairly harmless, but things take a turn when the women go back to their car and find a flat tire and "Tara" needing to use the restroom; a nearby building seems like an easy solution – though it turns out not to be what it appears, nor is the clown finished with his evening. As slasher movies go, this one is genuinely enjoyable, and there's a definite sense of threat amplified by the quietness of the calculating villain. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives mostly end, because the two women are irritating from the very beginning. They are loud, rude, and make some of the dumbest choices I've ever seen on film. Things become even more ridiculous when "Victoria" (Samantha Scaffidi), the sister, arrives to pick up the stranded pair and proves to be just as clueless as her sister when it comes to assessing danger, especially after wandering around an abandoned building at night while the radio is broadcasting warnings about a killer on the loose. The mercifully short runtime does help maintain a brisk pace, but the performances from those who have lines are pretty bad, as is the writing behind those lines – and by the time the credits roll, I was completely rooting for a villain who should have been allowed to do his thing!
