A single father subsequently discovers it after surviving a car accident close to the impact site; he claims to have been healed by contact with the object. Government agents also pursue this discovery, and the film explores how these two factions clash as the nation deteriorates, concluding with a minor surprise. The promotional artwork evokes comparisons to films like 'Interstellar' or 'Tron,' but the actual movie distinguishes itself. It feels like a simplified version of 'Evolution,' blended with elements from other works. While I found the script well-crafted, the execution lacked conviction. The narrative’s focus on an enigmatic object initially promised a compelling experience, but it deliberately avoids becoming a high-octane action film, and budgetary constraints appear to have been a limiting factor. Despite these limitations, the filmmakers managed to create a reasonably good movie; however, I believe more careful direction would have benefited the project. Many similar science fiction dramas have thrived thanks to strong directorial choices. I consider it a missed chance, but if you approach it with modest expectations and are aware of the unfamiliar cast and crew, you might find some enjoyment. The entire cast is Australian portraying American characters. The acting was acceptable, and technically the film looked fine, as it didn’t demand extensive special effects.
