Jess Wiexler portrays “Dawn,” an exceptionally virtuous young woman who has committed herself to abstinence until her wedding day—an event still some time off. Currently, her most likely temptation is "Tobey" (Hale Appleman), another virgin experiencing the usual adolescent urges. The question becomes whether they can resist these feelings. A lakeside swim and a subsequent shared shelter seem to indicate otherwise; however, shortly after, “Tobey” regrets not exercising more restraint while Dawn seeks medical attention to determine what transpired. When the doctor also requires hospitalization, it becomes clear that she has contracted an ancient curse—possibly of Egyptian, Persian, or Roman origin—that transforms sexual activity into a perilous endeavor for any man involved! Surprisingly, she decides to exploit this situation to her advantage, and her irritating brother "Brad" (John Hensley) may soon experience the consequences. Despite the awkwardness it might provoke, the film offers mild amusement in an uncomfortable way. Wiexler seems to be enjoying herself, and it's amusing to witness the men exhibiting exaggerated reactions for a change. It’s unlikely I would revisit this movie, but it wasn’t unpleasant, and even the dog seemed to find it agreeable!
