The comeback didn't generate quite the same level of enthusiasm as its predecessor. It’s easy to understand why I wasn’t particularly thrilled with this movie, though some viewers consider it an acceptable continuation. The initial film was unusual, and that contributed to its success. It seemed to me that it would have been better left as a standalone experience. However, given the limited resources involved, they likely anticipated recouping more than double their investment due to the star power and the original’s impact. There isn't really a plot here; it relies on a familiar Hollywood formula seen in films like 'Fanboys', 'Dumb and Dumber To', and 'Not Suitable for Children,' with the exception of the character Ted, who gives this installment some distinction. A few decent jokes are present, but most of the material falls flat, sometimes even repeating itself. The runtime of two hours feels excessive given how simplistic the core idea is. The guest appearances were underwhelming, or perhaps just unnecessary and inconsequential, particularly Liam Neeson’s. What stood out positively were the production values, the performances, and as I mentioned earlier, the character Ted. For a single viewing, it's tolerable enough, but it’s not something I’d want to watch again or suggest to others. Ultimately, I am somewhat let down by how things turned out. They still have an opportunity to conclude this series on a more positive note with a respectable three-part story if the next installment features a stronger narrative. 6/10
