This movie is just plain awful. *Tarzan & Jane* feels like a really weak attempt at a follow-up, cramming in three disconnected storylines that don’t connect to the original film and contribute nothing of value. The new characters are unpleasant, the animation is unremarkable, the cast isn't particularly memorable, and the music fails to stand out. It simply makes everything worse. It’s easy to see why they decided to call the third installment *Tarzan II*, likely hoping to bury this one entirely. I'm having a hard time thinking of anything good about it; maybe just those brief few seconds of Phil Collins’ original score at the start? Out of all three stories, the last one is probably the least bad—I'm really reaching here.
