Putting aside the apparent attempt to showcase a wide range of backgrounds, it's hard to believe anyone could realistically have such a group of friends, and ultimately there’s little that feels fresh about Tarot. The film does manage some unsettling imagery, a handful of effective startling moments, and performances that aren’t actively bad. However, it suffers from a distinct lack of new ideas, alongside a horror storyline that repeats itself frequently, which diminishes its impact rather quickly. Essentially, what the movie really needed was just a bit more creativity and variety in how the story unfolds. It's no surprise then that I found it to be fairly average—that outcome felt almost inevitable.
