This is a pleasant story centered on Rapunzel. *Tangled* began Disney’s animated films of the 2010s in a positive way. The movie is well-made, featuring likable characters and an engaging plot. It established many elements that *Frozen*, released in 2013, would later incorporate; there are noticeable parallels between them. Mandy Moore delivers excellent work as the main character, lending her character both enthusiasm and humor. Zachary Levi (as Flynn) and Donna Murphy (as Mother Gothel) also give solid performances. Maximus is a funny addition too, even though he doesn’t speak. It remains within familiar fairytale territory, but it introduces an upbeat feel that keeps things interesting.
