The narrative feels convoluted, bringing to mind elements from Aladdin. The character who changes colors didn't quite leave a lasting impression and falls into a pattern where animals are portrayed as acting like dogs, seemingly fulfilling a predetermined Disney formula. Ultimately, it’s a fairly predictable Disney film that adheres perfectly to the established conventions, yet manages to be genuinely enjoyable because of it. There are also some newer touches incorporated, reminiscent of Shrek.
