I initially assumed this was going to be some low-budget production, and I really didn’t expect much from it – anticipating anything would have been a complete loss of time. But my expectations were wrong. What surprised me most was how straightforward the story was, yet still quite entertaining. Not every small film manages to pull off that kind of charm. Everything felt familiar, like elements borrowed from other movies, even though I found myself enjoying it immensely. The movie unfolds as a single-day story set against the backdrop of a wedding celebration. The focus is on one specific table, number 19, located at the edge of the dining hall. The people seated there all come from different walks of life and had never met before. As they get to know each other, their personal problems surface during the festivities. They also create some mishaps that they later attempt to resolve, all culminating by the time the event concludes. This is a film from the director of 'Rocket Science,' which was released ten years ago and also featured Anna Kendrick. I believe he's a capable director, especially when it comes to smaller comedies with well-written scripts. He really ought to be making more feature films instead of television series. I was impressed by Kendrick’s performance; her film choices haven’t always been ideal, but she’s close to delivering something truly exceptional and will undoubtedly have a career-defining moment soon. The rest of the cast members were also quite good. I think this movie would benefit from a sequel. The characters are so well-defined that there's still much about them left unexplored. Whether it’s a direct continuation or a story set in the past, I’ll definitely be looking for one. Considering its budget of only $5 million, major studios could easily spend that amount without expecting any significant profit. You might see this film receiving low ratings elsewhere, but I consider it to be a good comedy, and certainly among the better small-budget films out there. The ending was pretty predictable, but that’s acceptable for what it is. I would recommend it to those who don't go into movies with high expectations. If you appreciate simple plots and some laughs, this one is worth checking out. _7/10_
