"Switching Channels" attempts to capture the lively and clever feel of older, rapid-fire comedies, and largely succeeds. The movie maintains a brisk tempo, proving quite enjoyable whenever the plot takes an unforeseen direction following Ike Roscoe’s escape from the electric chair; there's also a good amount of humor stemming from his time spent at the office copier where he’s concealing himself. The film's comedic moments are exceptionally effective, as are all the other components that might have led to an unbalanced story—particularly with the inclusion of Roy Ridnitz and his political aspirations. Thankfully, this doesn't occur, resulting in a delightful piece of entertainment that consistently delivers memorable scenes.
