Joey Lawrence’s presence is minimal, appearing mostly near the film’s conclusion in what can only be described as a bewildering production. The plot involves him needing to travel from San Francisco to reunite with his family at their yearly beach house because inclement weather has prevented him from flying. Simultaneously, his relatives reach their destination and receive an alert that a severe storm is approaching, threatening their already deteriorating home. This caution, however, seems to go unheeded, and they soon find themselves under attack within the house by a ravenous shark as floodwaters rise. Just when things seem dire, Joey ("Hudson") arrives at precisely the right moment to seize command of the situation and save everyone from the animal. It’s less that this movie is simply poor; it's that there’s absolutely no attempt made to elevate it—to make it entertaining, scary, or even remotely believable. A smattering of fake blood, some people in revealing clothing screaming, and a few computer-generated shark shots do not constitute a suspenseful experience! The conversations are utterly unremarkable, and the resolution is nonsensical – completely baffling, even after consuming an entire bottle of red wine. Steer clear; it’s simply a regrettable use of data!
