I expected *Swan Song* to explore its themes more thoroughly, yet I still found it captivating. The movie boasts an excellent ensemble cast; Mahershala Ali is superb in the central performance. Naomie Harris, Awkwafina, Glenn Close, and Adam Beach are also present, and I wished there had been more of them—though that might simply be because they’re all talented performers, as their characters receive adequate screen time. This film from 2021 is emotionally resonant, making it easy to become invested in what unfolds; the conclusion was something I especially appreciated. It develops at a deliberate pace but doesn't feel tedious. I give it three stars; I believe it’s worth watching.
