It wasn't particularly engaging for me; I thought *Swamp Thing* came across as quite gloomy. Essentially, the story revolves around a woman who develops feelings for a scientist who has become a swamp creature. They share a kiss and then it’s just stated that they are in love, after which he transforms into an extremely unpleasant version of the Swamp Thing. She's frightened by this new form until she recognizes him. It was neat to discover that filming took place here in South Carolina.
