I can’t say enough how bad this movie is—and that's exactly why I enjoyed it so much! Seeing "Swamp Thing" on the big screen back when I was in high school really resonated with me; it was a perfect blend of cheesy horror and science fiction, precisely what I wanted at that point in my life. **Adrienne Barbeau** certainly had qualities that appealed to a teenage boy, and I still enjoy anything featuring **Ray Wise**. The special effects were impressive for their time, though they weren't particularly complex, which was fine because they didn’t have to be. All you really needed was dry ice, food coloring, water, some lab equipment, and a green rubber suit that resembled a walking beanstalk to create a film in line with the goal of adapting the comics we read and collected into movies. I definitely had "Swamp Thing" comic books (DC)—they’re known as 'Graphic Novels' now, apparently. A few more prosthetics and **Wes Craven** involved in writing and directing would have made for an even better film. Find a way to watch it—rent it, buy it, stream it—and get some popcorn if you like movies of this kind, because I really do. Simply put: enjoy!
